An original etching and aquatint of The Lange Jan tower in Middelburg, Netherlands.
This etching has been made on a copper plate as a mirror image and printed by means of an etching press using a process that has changed little since Rembrandt’s day 400 years ago. Every etching is inked by hand and is thus an unique and original artwork.
It has been printed on Somerset Velvet handmade paper from St Cuthbert’s Mill in the UK using high quality professional etching ink. The paper has a soft cream color.
Signed and numbered. The etching itself measures 5 x 15 cm with a mount that’s the same color as the paper. Frame measures 22 x 32 cm
We have had this beautiful piece professionally framed in Dark Oak with high quality anti-reflective Museum glass. A work to treasure for years to come.
