Hand-poured in the Provider Sydney studio, the Uzu Candle brings together Japanese craftsmanship and premium fragrances. The reusable ceramic vessel is handcrafted in a small workshop in Tajimi, Japan, before being filled with our 100% pure soy wax and signature scents.

In Japanese, Uzu means whirlpool, a fitting name for a vessel defined by gentle curves and fluid movement. Inspired by the natural shapes found in water, its softly twisting form feels organic in the hand, while the black clay body and warm saffron glaze create a beautiful contrast. Each vessel is made by master potters in Tajimi, a region renowned for its centuries-old ceramic traditions.

Maker Story

The Provider studio is located in Surry Hills, Sydney, where we pour each and every one of our candles by hand. We pure soy wax and boutique natural fragrances to craft our candles.

Each one is designed with sustainability in mind, the idea is once you finish burning your candle you can reuse the Japanese ceramic vessel. Simply remove the wick, wash with hot soapy water and use it as a tea or coffee cup, or bring it back to the store for a candle refill. We think candles should be burnt and enjoyed every day and not just saved for special occasions, so burn it, refill it or reuse it.
